AHA Heartsaver Instructor (HS-I)

Course Objectives

Prepares instructors to teach AHA Heartsaver courses, including CPR, AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Course Length

Eight hours, with a DVD presentation, practical application, written test, and skills test. Must also complete separately scheduled monitoring to prove competency with presentation skills and group leadership skills.

Prerequisite

Current Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification. Also, complete online "Heartsaver Instructor Essentials" course (available when registering for class).

Intended Audience

Any current Heartsaver provider interested in providing training in American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and/or First Aid. Must have training center to align with. Please contact our office for more information.
