The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Precourse Self-Assessments are online tools that evaluate a student’s knowledge before the course to determine his or her proficiency and identify any need for additional review and practice.
AHA requires that you must complete the applicable Self-Assessment with a score of at least 70% prior to attending your ACLS or PALS course.

3. “Sign In” or “Create an Account”
4. Review the “Launch Description.”
5. Click (or tap) “START” to begin.
6. On a new screen, you will enter your “Full Name.”
7. Read the instructions and click (or tap) “START” to begin.
8. Click (or tap) “Exit Exercise” to return to the course landing page.
9. Click (or tap) “Download Completion Certificate” to download the Precourse Self-Assessment certificate.
